The Cub's Lair

Be myself, be happy — An engibear's journey through Cloud Native, AI, and life.

As a die-hard Conan fan, this was obviously an absolute must-watch. Overall, though, I felt it didn’t quite live up to the previous movie—it was missing a lot of those nail-biting, heart-stopping moments. Plus, there were way fewer scenes exploring the relationship between Shinichi and Ran. M11 kicks off with a classic treasure hunt theme, only to wrap up with a “there is no treasure” twist. My strongest takeaway from M11 (Jolly Roger in the Deep Azure): it feels like a mashup of Evan Almighty (Pic 14) + National Treasure + Titanic (Pics 11-13). Quite a few scenes and shots felt heavily inspired by them. Let me post a few screenshots to show you what I mean.

The ToyPHP framework project has been kicked off for a while now, but the documentation and other materials aren’t fully organized yet. However, version v0.1 has already entered internal use. The public release will be rolled out once internal testing is complete, and documentation will be published gradually. http://www.toyphp.com

Scanning the web day in and day out, searching recruitment sites over and over… why is finding an internship so incredibly difficult? It’s even harder than I imagined, and the worst part is the discrimination against fresh graduates. Sigh… I’m speechless.

It’s been ages since I last wrote anything. And now, I’ve moved my digital home back here. Still using f2blog. Right now, I’m just picturing myself sitting outdoors, holding a cup of tea, feeling a gentle breeze brushing past, looking like I’ve just finished a hard day’s work~

Lately, I’ve indeed been busy with a ton of things, so much so that I neglected my own website. But the holidays are coming up! Time to take a break, clean things up, and get everything sorted out. Haha, a website can’t go without fresh content, so new stuff will start showing up gradually. As the saying goes, “Good wine needs no bush” (or “Good wine sells itself”)~

The weather has been super weird lately, making it feel almost like early winter. Consequently, my mind has been feeling a bit off, and my body feels off too. Maybe Virgos are all a bit overly sensitive, noticing even the slightest shift in the air. I’ve got mild cold symptoms, an upset stomach, and absolutely zero energy. It seems like it’s all because of this crazy weather—it’s already April, and it’s still snowing!… Then again, I can’t blame it all on the weather. If humans hadn’t treated nature the way we do, we probably wouldn’t be seeing all these bizarre natural phenomena so often, haha~

More and more, I’m realizing that life has so many hurdles we have to face. Those old fantasies, old dreams, and that heart once full of hope for the future have completely lost their spark lately. Sometimes I complain about life, wondering why everything goes so wrong for me, and why life always seems to be plotting against me. But when I calm down and think about it, I realize the responsibility actually lies with myself. I simply haven’t worked hard enough to earn the favor of Lady Luck.

It seems that to be a bear who can actually fly, having dreams as wings isn’t enough; I also need to build up enough strength in those wings to lift myself off the ground. Dreams are the wings, but hard work is the strength.

Life isn’t a piece of cake waiting for you to eat it. It’s a wheat seed. Every one of us must plant it, tend to it with care, watch it grow, and eventually harvest it, mill it into flour, knead the dough, and bake the cake from scratch… In the end, it’s not about who makes the biggest cake, but about how it tastes—the taste of devotion, the taste of life itself…

The production of Bobtail-Bear 2006 Official Release is already underway. Currently, other than adding language pack support, there are no plans for other major feature updates, though there will be some tweaks to the details. Some relevant documentation will be released alongside the official version once it is completed. After the official launch, there will be a post-release phase dedicated to bug fixing, primarily addressing system issues caused by the update and commonly reported user feedback. Individual edge-case issues will not be addressed immediately; users can develop plugins to resolve them. Afterward, Little Flyer Bear will recruit some volunteers for the day-to-day maintenance and support of Bobtail-Bear 2006 (including its official website). Following that, I will kick off the project plan for Bobtail-Bear 2007. Bobtail-Bear 2007 has no relation to Bobtail-Bear 2006; the general development roadmap for 2007 has already been mapped out, and the detailed project planning documents will be published on the official Bobtail-Bear website as soon as possible.

The life motto I’ve believed in for the longest time is: “Be yourself, be truly happy.” I always hope to find more joy in life, but reality forces you to consider and plan for the future. A new kind of pressure is quietly brewing in my heart. How should I manage the relationship between pressure and happiness? Carrying pressure in your heart can feel genuinely painful.

My recipe for happiness is: don’t get lost, don’t rush, slowly untangle the threads, and find a solution. Move toward your goals step by step. Every single step forward is progress in life, and every step is something to be celebrated.

Haha, winter break has officially begun! I should really cherish this, because once I start working, there won’t be any winter or summer breaks to enjoy anymore~ I wonder if my future boss will give me some extra time off if I work super hard? ^_^

Back to business: Bobtail-Bear 2006 RC1 is still in my hands and hasn’t been released yet. That’s because… well, once you see RC1, you’ll immediately spot the issues. Let me share a sneak peek regarding what everyone cares about the most: the open-source status of the code.

The frontend is open-source. As for the backend, we’ll split it into an open-source version and a closed-source version. Starting from RC1, Bobtail-Bear users will need to register a free ID on the official website. Each ID corresponds to a free license certificate. A user’s “reputation score” will determine whether they can download the open-source backend and receive free technical support. This reputation score is based on factors such as retaining the original copyright notice, submitting valuable feedback or suggestions for Bobtail-Bear, and other contributions to the project. After all, Bobtail-Bear shouldn’t just be the work of Little Flyer Bear; it should belong to all of its users…

Alright, enough rambling! Keep your eyes peeled for the release of Bobtail-Bear 2006 RC1!

PS: Lately, I’ve been playing a free-to-play MMO with some classmates. It’s actually pretty fun, hehe.
